In the heart of Panama lies the "Los Monos" Protection Forest: a vibrant, biodiverse rainforest in the province of Chiriquí. We are proud to actively contribute to the preservation of this valuable ecosystem with our share of 4,000 square meters.

The Protection Forest not only provides a home for capuchin monkeys, sloths, ocelots, mangrove trees, and numerous parrot species, it is also our most important climate protector and a living symbol of our commitment to a greener future.

Why This Protection Is So Important

Panama's Endangered Biodiversity

Tropical climate zones harbor immense biodiversity. Panama alone has more bird and plant species than all of Canada and the USA combined. However, progressive deforestation (466 hectares lost from 2001-2021 according to official sources) massively threatens this heritage.

The Value of the "Los Monos" Forest

The "Los Monos" natural forest, protected by Forest Finance, is classified as a "high conservation value forest." It is home to rare reptiles, amphibians, birds, capuchin monkeys (Los Monos), sloths, and ocelots – many of them endangered.

Forest Protection is Active Climate Protection

One hectare of this rainforest stores at least 188,600 kg of CO2 – equivalent to the 20-year average emissions of a person in Germany. A local nature trail illustrates the immense importance of species, climate, and water protection.
